2010 WOW!!!

WOW!!!!!!  I really can't believe its already the year 2010!!  We are suppose to be driving flying cars and wearing funky jumpsuits in metallic colors.  These 3 years of having the shop open have flown by at warp speed!!  I am really excited about the new year  and cannot wait to see what's to come.  I have quite a few awesome projects in the works and i can't wait to share them with the world.   This year I am going to concentrate on getting some of my work in print for the world to see.  I have been published a few times but it's really exciting and uplifting  to see your work in one of your favorite magazines.  Life is amazing in my world.  All the new people and opportunities that come before me will be met with open arms!!   My shop will continue to treat people as they deserve to be treated with respect and honesty.  I can't wait to see what the year brings me to create!!!  Hopefully I get the chance to work on a few paintings as well as getting a jewelry line launched.  Well, as usual ,  I have a lot to do and limited time so work is calling.

I Can't wait to meet you or to see you once again!!!!!!!

Confidence

I  just want to say a few words about why i haven't hired any more artists at my shop.  I really don't think i am ready to be a boss to anyone!!!  I have found in my tattooing venture that  a lot of the people I meet are awesome artists but for some reason they are not  very personable.  I have sent clients who are in a hurry for artwork to a few people who I know are great artists only to have the client return willing to book an appointment 2 months down the road because they were not treated very well.  I guess i need a little schooling on the attitudes of tattoo artists. Maybe I am just doing something wrong.  Is there something in this industry that i'm missing?  like maybe the a silent code of arrogance that you must go by to be a good artist.  I dunno but I haven't met a tattoo artist that i could get along with long enough to work with them let alone be their boss.  I enjoy watching arrogance turn in to ignorance while artists try to make their clients feel inferior.  I know I've never enjoyed some jerk trying to make me feel stupid.  I run a one person shop for this reason and i probably will always choose to work in a place without the ignorance of arrogance and GAWD complexes.

Quote of the Century

" There is a thin line dividing Confidence and Arrogance.  Once the line is crossed your ignorance starts showing." jo swigart

I will always try to keep myself in check so that i don't cross the line.  My friends and clients deserve more than an ARROGANT ASS placing  marks on their lives that will last forever.

Thanks to all of my really awesome friends and clients for all you have done for me and my shop!!!!
